During the Race

Start

Please respond promptly when the rider whip calls you up. You will assemble in the holding area on the circuit access road before you are called to the start line.

The Commissaires may require you to do a sighting lap before the race. Once you have returned to the start line you will be briefed.

Remember, a red flag warns you to be cautious. It doesn’t stop the race. A black flag does.

Stage 1

Riders will start at 30 second intervals on the instruction of the judge commissaire. Please ensure you are ready waiting to start. If you miss your start, participation will be at the commissaires’ discretion. If you pass or are passed by another rider keep wide from them. Drafting will be penalised.

Feeding

Stages 1 and 2.

There will be no feed zone for Stages 1 and 2 in any category. Do not pass anything up to any rider at any point. You really do risk disqualification and further sanction. Riders who are stationary in the pit zone may take food and drink there.

Stage 3

There will be a feed zone and pits for stage 3 for Youth A and B categories only. Passing anything up to a rider over the barrier at any other point risks disqualification and/or other sanctions.

There is no feed zone for Youth C, D and E categories. Do not pass anything up to any rider at any point. You really do risk disqualification and further sanction. Riders who are stationary in the pit zone may take food and drink there.

Pits

A pit area will be provided in each race. No laps out will be given and lap time penalties may apply, but a pit stop to allow a rider to complete the stage is permissible. Please follow the instructions of the pit commissaire.

Repairs may only be carried in the pits. Any rider receiving mechanical assistance at the side of the circuit may be disqualified.
